History:

Spanish journalist and politician. Married with Felisa Gamino Vera.

Apostúa graduated in Law. He started his journalistic career in the newspaper of Badajoz "Hoy", and then, he worked as an assistant manager of "La Verdad", a newspaper of Murcia. In "El Alcázar", a Madrilenian newspaper, he worked as editor-in-chief, assistant manager and manager. In "Ya", another Madrilenian journal, he was the editorial secretary, columnist and assistant manager. Apostúa was also a TV newsreader in "ABC". He promoted the Press Centre which was built in the social headquarters of "la Asociación", in the mansion placed on Juan Bravo (Madrid), which several press conferences and presentations are held in. Apostúa resigned his position due to maladministration. He balanced his position as Press Asociation of Madrid with the FAPE (Federation of Spanish Journalists Association) presidency.

During the Constituent Legislature, Apostúa was elected deputy for Logroño, joining the UCD Parliamentarian Group. He participated in the commissions in charge of the Constitution-making process, especially in the redaction of the article number 20. This article was related to the freedom of information, including the introduction of the conscience clause and journalists' right to professional secrecy. Apostúa also presented the law on the Status of Radiotelevisión Española (Spanish national television), which promoted the deal between the general manager (appointed by the Government) and the parliamentarian groups' representatives at the Boards of Administration. He also took part in the drafting of the Protection of Privacy and Honour Law. During the I Legislature, we was elected again deputy of the Centre Parliamentarian Group for Madrid.

Finally, Apostúa died in 1997 in El Escorial, Madrid.
