History:

Spanish politician and technical architect. Technical architect by profession. He was managing director of AIBASA, an authorised dealer of Talbot S.A. (Chrysler). He has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Sindicato de Enseñanza no Estatal (Union of Non-State Education) of Pontevedra (1973-1976), of the Federación Española de Autoescuelas (Spanish Federation of Driving Schools), and a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Vilagarcía de Arousa.

He held positions of responsibility in the Town Council of his hometown, Vilagarcía de Arousa: councillor in 1971 and deputy mayor of the city council of the same city until April 1979, the same date of the first democratic municipal elections.

At the beginning of the Transition he joined Unión de Centro Democrático (UCD/Union of Democratic Centre) as an independent and he served in the so‑called 'Jóvenes Turcos'(Young Turks). He was deputy of UCD for Pontevedra in the Constituent Legislature (1977-1979) and re‑elected in Legislature I (1979-1982). In addition, he was president of the Partido Demócrata Popular (Popular Democratic Party) and regional deputy for the Partido Popular (PP/People's Party). As a result of his kidney disease, he abandoned his political activity. He died in Pontevedra at when he was 62 years old.
