History:

Spanish engineer, businessman, and politician. Married. PhD in Engineering from ICAI. He was founder and president of an electrical supply company. He joined the Unión de Centro Democrático (UCD/Union of Democratic Centre) during the political transition and he was elected twice, 1977 and 1979, representative to Congress for Palencia constituency, during the Constituent Assembly and I parliamentary term.

As deputy, he was part of the Assembly of Parliamentarians that initiated the autonomy process in Castilla y León. Moreover, he was Minister for Industry and Energy in the pre‑autonomous body, the General Council of Castilla y León.

As a member of the Constituent Parliamentary term, he was awarded the Order of Constitutional Merit. He was married to the well‑known professor of Language and Literature and poet Casilda Ordóñez Ferrer, an academic at the Tello Téllez de Meneses Institution.
