History:

Spanish lawyer, industrial engineer, and politician. He was married and had six children. He has been president and vice president of the Official College of Surveyors and Industrial Engineers of Las Palmas. He was one of the founders of Unión Canaria (Canary Union), of Lorenzo Olarte, with which he joined the Unión de Centro Democrático (UCD/Union of Democratic Centre). He was a member of the UCD Provincial and Insular committees, as well as its senator for Las Palmas in the I parliamentary term (1979‑1982).

In the democracy, he was deputy for Las Palmas during the constituent parliamentary term (1977‑1979).
