History:

Spanish officer and politician. He was a worker of the Uralita company, and served as Secretary‑General of UGT Sevilla (Unión General de Trabajadores/General Union of Workers) until 1981. During the constituent parliamentary term, he was deputy of the PSOE in Seville (Partido Socialista Obrero Español/Spanish Socialist Worker's Party). Later he was the labour representative of the Andalusian Government when the councilor was José María Romero, also a trade unionist. He retired from active politics when Rodríguez de la Borbolla's team was relieved of the presidency of the Junta of Andalusia by Manuel Chaves, who was the Minister for Labour.
