History:

Spanish lawyer and politician. He graduated from the University of Murcia. He worked as a librarian, accountant, businessman, and member of the governing board of the Bar Association of Murcia.

At the beginning of the transition, Antonio Pérez Cresp founded Unión Democrática Murciana, but soon he became a member of Unión de Centro Democrático (UCD/Union of Democratic Centre). With this formation, he was deputy for Murcia in the Constituent Parliamentary term (1977-1979) and senator, for the same constituency, in the First Parliamentary term (1979- 1982). He also served as President of the Regional Council of Murcia in November (1978‑1979).

After the disappearance of UCD in 1982, he joined the Partido Demócrata Popular (PDP/Democratic Popular Party), being president of the same in Murcia, as well as candidate for the Presidency of the Murcia region in 1987. That same year, he retired from politics in order to devote himself to business management.

He is the author of the books La aparcería en Murcia and El cantón de Murcia.
