Spanish lawyer, professor and politician. Professor in Administrative and International Law at the University of Barcelona between 1962 and 1972. In 1966 he was expelled from the institution, along with some other lecturers, due to his links with the Students Democratic Syndicate.

Co-founder of CDC in 1974 and its Secretary General from 1974 to 1979. In 1984, he founded the Democratic Reformist Party.

Deputy of CDC for Barcelona in 1977, and one of the fathers of the 1978 Constitution, Roca Junyent had been re-elected deputy of CIU from the I to the V Legislature, party which joined CDC.

He participated in the draft of the constitutional text and in the study of the Catalonian Statute. Presidential candidate in 1986 with the Democratic Reformist Party (liberal and national nature), which Antonio Garrigues Walker's PDL and the Galician Coalition joined. In 1994, Roca Junyent submitted his resignation as deputy to run the candidacy of Mayor of Barcelona in the 1995 municipal elections, without any success. In 1999, he announced his withdrawal in politics and his return to his professional career as a lawyer.
