Spanish lawyer and politician.
Solé studied Law at the University of Barcelona, being a professor like his parents.
Solé was a member of the Workers and Peasants Bloc and of the Catalonian Unified Socialist Party (PSUC). During the Civil War, he was the Judge of first instance of Reus, and a political captain of battalion. In 1939, he was captured by Francoist troops and was sentenced to death. However, he was released in 1944, even though he was temporarily disqualified from working as a lawyer.
Solé participated in the Trial of Burgos (1970), in the Assembly of Catalonia, he was the spokesperson of PSUC until 1977, and was a deputy of PSUC for Tarragona in the Constituent and I Legislature (1977-1979 and 1979-1982 respectively). He also took part in the drafting of the Statute of Autonomy of Catalonia in 1979.
