French actor, scriptwriter, and film director. He won an Oscar for best short film in 1963. He directed his first feature film, "The Suitor", in 1962. Later, in 1965, he directed "Yo yo" and after that he made the films "As Long As We've Got Our Health" (1966) and "The great love" (1969), having written the script with Jean-Claude Carrière (1931-).
