History:

Organización de asistencia a los niños vascos refugiados en Gran Bretaña durante la Guerra Civil Española. Estuvo presidido por la duquesa de Atholl y como vicepresidenta tuvo a Eleanor Rathbone y como tesorero honorífico a Lord Cecil Chelwood.

Tras el bombardeo de Guernica casi 4.000 niños fueron evacuados del País Vasco y transportados a bordo del vapor Habana, que llegó al puerto de Southampton en mayo de 1937.

Las organizaciones representadas en el "Basque Children's Committee" eran las siguientes: The Crusade of Rescue, The Friends Service Council, "National Joint Committee for Spanish Relief", The Salvation Army, The Save the Children Fund, Spanish Medical Aid, The Spanish Women's Committee for Help to Spain y The Trades Union Congres.
