History:

French historian, arabist, and researcher of Al-Andalus. She was born in 1959 in Egypt, he was an associate professor at the Sorbonne of Paris. Between 1963 and 166 she worked in Spain, at the Casa Velazquez. During the last years of her life, she was the Director of Research of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). She was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Granada.

En 1963 empezó a investigar sobre la España nazarí en el Archivo Histórico Nacional; pasó luego por el Archivo General de Simacas y en 1965 estuvo investigando en el Archivo de la Corona de Aragón (ACA).
