Musician and musical manager that developed his career in Spain.
Member of the board of directors of the Orquesta Bética de Cámara de Sevilla. He served as first member, until February 1928, when he was named secretary in substitution of Segismundo Romero. He was removed from the office at the end of that same year. He corresponded with Manuel de Falla, to whom he told about his appointment, and to whom he informed about questions about the Ibero-American Exposition of Seville of 1929, from which he was responsible of the participation of the orchestra. He was one of the teachers with whom this ensemble made its debut in its inaugural concert, in June 11th, 1924, in the Llorens Theatre of Seville. With Ernesto Halffter as a musical director, and Eduardo Torres as a technical director, it was composed by the musicians: Gloria Chelvi, harpist; Joaquín Fons, violinist; Diego Pantión, violist; Segismundo Romero, cellist; Pedro Zúñiga, contrabass; Antonio Damas, flutist; Manuel Navarro, clarinetist; Manuel Mato, oboísta; Enrique García, oboist; Joaquín García, trumpeter; and Ceferino Berloz, trompetist; among others. The orchestra interpreted "Sinfonía en Mi bemol maypr" by Haydn; "Tres piezas" by Scarlatti; "Dos preludios" by Adolfo Salazar; "Berceuse" by Rodolfo Halffter; the suite of "Pulcinella" by Igor Stravinski; "Kamariskaia" by Glinka; and "El amor brujo" by Falla.
