She was born in 1958 in Madrid (Spain), daughter of architect José María García de Paredes and granddaughter of Germán de Falla, also an architect and brother of composer Manuel de Falla, with her mother, María Isabel de Falla López, being the niece of the same composer.
She is a professor in the Department of Architectural Projects at the School of Architecture of Madrid (ETSAM) and, along with Ignacio Pedrosa, she co-directs the architectural firm Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos. She graduated in Architecture from ETSAM in 1982 and, in 2015, obtained her doctorate with the thesis La arquitectura de José M. García de Paredes: Ideario de una obra, dedicated to her father, for which she received the Premio Extraordinario de Tesis Doctoral from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM).
Her professional career began by collaborating with Ignacio Pedrosa at the studio of her father, the architect José María García de Paredes. After his passing in 1990, the studio was transformed into Paredes Pedrosa Arquitectos. Together, they have won numerous awards in competitions and have built more than twenty buildings. Additionally, she is the vice president of the Fundación Manuel de Falla, founded by her mother, and a member of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in the Architecture Section.
Her work has been exhibited at various editions of the Venice Architecture Biennale, as well as in monographic exhibitions in Lisbon, Porto, Ottawa, and New York. She was invited as an international architect to the Venice Biennale in 2018. Her architecture is distinguished by an approach that rejects the iconic, prioritizing the creation of spaces that integrate with and enrich their surroundings. Among her most notable projects are the Teatro Valle Inclán in Madrid, the Archaeological Museum in Almería, Auditoriums in Peñíscola and Lugo, La Olmeda Roman Villa and the Ceuta and Córdoba Public Libraries.
