Priest, archivist-librarian, and secondary school teacher.
He studied his ecclesiastical studies in Belchite and Zaragoza. He completed his civil university studies in Zaragoza and obtained a position as a librarian, becoming a civil servant in the Corps of Specialist Archivists, Librarians and Archaeologists.
He worked at the Museo Arqueológico in Cádiz for three years, then at the Archivo de la Delegación de Hacienda in Zaragoza for nine years, and finally worked at the Biblioteca Universitaria de Zaragoza, where he eventually became the director until his retirement.
At the start of the Spanish Civil War, he was assigned to the Archivo de la Delegación provincial de Hacienda, as the director. Resolution: Reinstatement in service, without sanction.
Additionally, he combined his professional work with teaching in official secondary education. He also worked in various ecclesiastical institutions such as the Biblioteca Capitular Zaragozana or the diocesan archive, to which he greatly contributed to its current organization; he was a cataloger, along with other librarians, of the rich archive of the ducado de Híjar, preserved in Épila (Zaragoza).
He was an academician of the Real Academia de Nobles y Bellas Artes de San Luis in Zaragoza and adviser of the Institución Fernando el Católico. He passed away in Zaragoza in 1978.
