Spanish librarian, archivist and High school teacher.
Born in 1892 in Toledo. He obtained is civil servant position in the Cuerpo Facultativo de Archiveros, Bibliotecarios y Arqueólogos in 1921. He was director of the archive of the Delegación de Hacienda of Segovia, and of the Biblioteca Pública Provincial. At the same time, he was a languages assistant in the Instituto de Enseñanza Media of the aforementioned locality, from 1929 freely, and from 1935 officially.
He belonged to both the lodge of Segovia and several politic groups. Before the 14 April 1931, he joined the movement Al servicio de la República, and during November and December 1935 to Izquierda Republicana (IR).
He married the ceramist Teodora Zuloaga Estringana, daughter of the also ceramist Daniel Zuloaga, and cousin of the painter Ignacio Zuloaga. The marriage did not have descendants.
At the beginning of the Civil War, he was arrested together with his brother-in-law the councillor Juan Zuloaga, for having approached the Gobernación Civil of Segovia in representation of the Frente Popular, to obtain information of the events that took place on 18 July 1936. For this reason, he was declared redundant in September 1936, and the following year, he was removed from his office, after his purification file.
Finished the war, he solicited the revision of his file, lodging in 1939 an appeal, after which he was readmissed in de Body, with a sanction of employment and salary suspension. He passed away in 1944.
