History:

Maria Josepha Amalia of Saxony was Queen Consort of Spain (1819-1829) and third wife of King Ferdinand VII. She was the daughter of Prince Maximilian of Saxony and Princess Caroline of Bourbon-Parma. When she was three she was orphaned and sent to a convent next to Elba River, which she left in order to marry the king.

Devoted and fond of poetry, she died in the Aranjuez Palace (Madrid) with no offspring.
