History:

He was a Catalan aristocrat and soldier. He was the son of Josep d'Amat i de Junyent, Marquis of Castellbell, and his wife Anna de Rocabertí i Descatllar, Baroness of Pau. He accompanied his uncle Manuel d'Amat i de Junyent, viceroy of Peru, to govern over Tamara. He left this position to return to Barcelona in 1775. He died at the beginning of 1775.
