Spanish architect. He graduated in 1939, in the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, and later obtained his PhD. All along his professional career, he worked in different projects related with the scenic spaces. In 1966, he directed the works for the restoration of the Royal Theater of Madrid, which they were turning into a symphonic music auditorium. He also was in charge of the reformation of the Corral de Comedias of Almagro (Ciudad Real), and the Museo Romántico of Madrid (headquarter of the Museo Nacional del Romanticismo).
In Costa Rica, he did the restoration of the National Theater of San José, capital of the country.
Being an architect of the Dirección General de Bellas Artes, he held the charge of conservator of Toledo and of the Patrimonio Nacional.
Among his urban-planning projects, we can highlight the pilot plan of the city of Quito (Ecuador). When he died, he was directing the works of the Royal Theater, which they were turning in an opera stage, as it was its real function since its construction in 1850.
In between his titles, we identify the Order of Alfonso X the Wise, and the golden medallion of merits in Fine Arts. He passed away in Madrid, in 1992.
