Spanish lawyer and professor. He started his academic training studying the baccalaureate on philosophy at the School San Gerónimo in Santiago de Compostela. He was awarded a degree in laws in the same city.
He began his academic activity in La Coruña, where he obtained the chair at the Notary School with the title: Writing of Public Instruments and Civil Law Notions. The Moyano Act of 1858 suppressed the Notary School of La Coruña and it became part of Oviedo School. In 1870 he was appointed professor of Commercial Law in Valladolid and he was transferred to the city of Santiago. In 1887, he was designated professor at the University of Salamanca.
