Spanish Civil Law professor who was born in Valverde-Enrique (León) and died in Valladolid. He was the son of Francisco Cabeza de Vaca Alcántara and María Gómez del Valle. He got married to María Alonso de Cieza.
He started his academic training in 1820 with the baccalaureate on Jurisprudence in Valladolid. In addition, he got both a degree and a doctorate on Law in Valladolid.
His academic career was centred at the University of Valladolid and it started in 1823 when he became a substitute professor of Roman Law. Later on he obtained the chair of History of Elements of Spanish Civil, Commercial and Criminal Law. Furthermore, he was designated dean at the Faculty of Law, vice rector and supply rector att the university.
He held the following positions too:
Lawyer at the Provincial Court of Madrid.
Member of the Finance Board and the Sociedad Econónomica de Amigos del País in Valladolid.
Provincial deputy for the district of Mota del Marqués (Valladolid) and Deputy in the Spanish parliament for Valladolid.
Mayor of Valladolid.
Censor at the theatre of Valladolid.
