He was a Spanish professor of Law and priest who was born in Sargentes de Lora (Burgos), son of Lino Manjón and Sebastiana Manjón. Apart from his classes of Law, he dedicated a great part of his life to the reform to primary teaching and the foundation of the Escuelas del Ave-María. He passed away in Granada.
He studied the high school at the Seminario de Burgos and graduated at the Universidad de Valladolid in June, 1872, obtaining the doctorate in Civil and Canon Law at the Universidad Central de Madrid in 1874.
Professor of general Discipline of the Church and particular of Spain of the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in 1879. He moved to the Universidad de Granada occupying the chair of Institutions of Canon Law in 1880. He became priest and obtained a canonry at the Sacro Monte Abbey in 1886. He retired in 1918.
Other positions he held were:
Founder of the Escuelas del Ave-María for poor students. He also took charge of the teachers’ training that were going to work at his centers.
