Spanish professor. Son of Francisco Acosta y Sarmiento (Secretary of the government from the Regional Appeal Court of Canarias) and María del Rosario Ynglott Navarro.
He started his academic training in 1905 with the Baccalaureate diploma at Granada’s high school. In 1909, he was awarded a degree in Law by the University of Granada and, he was awarded a doctorate in Law by the Universidad Central in 1910.
From his academic career it is important to highlight his work as an assistant professor at the University of Granada and his work as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law in the University of Valladolid. He was a professor of “General History of Law” and “Roman Law” (1921) at the University of Granada. Furthermore, he was dean at the Faculty of Law in the University of Granada (1936).
He also held the position of mayor of Granada.
Inicia su carrera docente en la Universidad de Valladolid como auxiliar numerario, y después se traslada a Oviedo tras ganar por oposición la cátedra de Historia General del Derecho Español con un trabajo sobre las Relaciones de los fueros de Daroca y Teruel.
