He was a Spanish deputy and professor who was born in Alcubilla del Marqués (Soria). He got married with María Bernarda Eustaquia Marugán.
He began his academic training in the Seminario Conciliar de Santo Domingo de El Burgo de Osma. From the University of this same locality, he received the degree and the doctorate in Theology. He moved to the Universidad de Zaragoza to study Laws. He obtained the degree and doctorate in Laws from the Universidad de Alcalá.
His academic career began with him being appointed substitute of chair of the Universidad de Osma; where he acquired the chair of Physics. He was awarded with a chair in the Universidad Central de Madrid, but he could not make use of it due to the happenings of the overthrow of the Liberal Triennial. He obtained, at the Universidad de Alcalá, the chair of Philosophy; Institutions of Patrium Law; Forensic Practice; and New Compilation (of the Spanish laws). After he moved from the Universidad de Alcalá to Madrid he taught Novísima Recopilación; and Spanish Civil Codes.
