Spanish Law professor. His father was a prestigious lawyer belonging to the local elite, Ursicino Álvarez Martínez and, his mother was Elvira Suárez Gutiérrez [sic]. He got married to Lilita Guillén Soto.

In 1929, he started his academic training as a graduate in Law at the Universidad de Madrid, where he was awarded the doctorate some years later. Afterwards, he moved to Germany in order to continue with his studies because he received a scholarship from the Council for the Extension of Studies (JAE, for its Spanish acronym).

His academic career started as an assistant professor of his own professor, Doctor José Castillejo. In 1935, he got the chair of Roman Law in Murcia and four years later, he took office of the Chair at the Universidad de Madrid. Furthermore, he was appointed Vice-dean of the Faculty of Law at the same university. He was sanctioned in 1940.

Member of the examining board for the public examination to the Home Office public technical-administrative body.

President of the third division of Roman Law from the National Institute of Judicial Studies.

Member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation.

Secretary of the Permanent Commission of Foreign Legislation from the Ministry of Justice and the Francisco de Vitoria Institute from the CSIC.

General Secretary of the administration board from Tabacalera.

President of the Spanish National Committee of Spanish Football Competition.

Legal advisor of the Real Madrid football team.
