Legajo 34. 1796, [1795]. Correspondencia dirigida por sus subordinados al Barón de Carondelet. B, 21 cm., 550 letters. The greater part is of the year 1790. The documents of each month are fairly well together, but in disorder within the month. Almost the entire legajo is made up of letters, with a few drafts of replies, to Barón de Carondelet from his subordinates, Manuel Andry, Alemanes; Antonio Argote Villalobos, Frankfurt; P. Belly, Iberville; Francisco Bouligny, Nueva Orleans; Miguel Cantrelle, Cabahannocé; José Cruzat, Fuerte del Bayu; Nicolas Daunoy, Nueva Orleans; Carlos Dehault Delassus, Nuevo Madrid; Delery, Chapitoulas; Nicolás de Verbois, Iberville; José Deville Degoutin, San Fernando de las Barrancas; Pedro Favrot, Placaminas; Manuel Garcia, Esperanza; Francisco de Paula Gelabert, Panzacola; Carlos de Grand Pré, Avoyelles; Carlos Howard, Baton Rouge; Pablo Leblanc, Chapitoulas; Tomás Portell, Nuevo Madrid; Francisco Rivas, Galveztown; Joaquín Romo, Nueva Orleans; Juan Ronquillo, Baliza; Félix Trudeau, Natchitoches; Zenón Trudeau, San Luis; José Vázquez Vahamonde, Baton Rouge; Carlos de Vilemont, San Esteban de Arkansas; and Pierre Voisin, Iberville. Important items: 1795, census of Baton Rouge and Manchak; 1796, privilege for trading with indians west of the Mississippi, granted to Andres Todd; Collot; proclamation, in french, against working on sundays and holidays; entrances and departures of vessels at mouths of the Mississippi; indian affairs; military reports; and a letter of Z. Pike to Tomas Portell (feb. 6)
