History:

Katzman, Samuel was born on the 28th of October 1911 in Chicago, Illinois. He worked as teacher. He joined the Communist Party on the 1st of July 1933, quitted in 1935 and rejoined in 1937. He arrived in Spain on the 5th of March 1938. He served with in the Company 3 of the Lincoln-Washington Battalion of the 15th International Brigade as Private. He returned to the United States on the 20th of December 1938 aboard the "Ausonia".
