History:

Wildegans, Gustave was born in Hannover, Germany. He was German American. He was laborer. He joined the Communist Party in 1933. He sailed from the United States on the 24th of March 1937 aboard the "Manhattan" and arrived in Spain on the 24th of April 1937. He served with the Machine Gun Company of the Washington Battalion of the 15th International Brigade. Later he served with the General Staff of the 15th International Brigade. He served at Jarama, Brunete, Aragón and Teruel. He returned to the United States on the 15th of July 1938 aboard the "Washington". He went to the Second World War with the United States Armed Forces.
