Juan Luis Buñuel is a French film director, son of famous Spanish film director Luis Buñuel. His career in cinema business started along with his father as director assistant in some of his movies, such as "The Young One" (1960) or "Viridiana" (1961). His first production as film director was a documentary about the Holy Week in Calanda, his father's native town, and called it "Calanda" (1966).
Since the seventies, he made three long films: "At the Meeting with Joyous Death" (1973), "The Woman with Red Boots" (1974) and "Mistress of the Devil" (1975). He later worked in television. We can see in his cinema a clear influence from his father.
