Spanish poet and teacher. He was member of one of the most popular families of intellectuals from the Canary islands, the Millares. Father of poets Agustín y José María Millares Sall, musician Luis Millares Sall (Totoyo Millares) and painter Manolo Millares Sall. He studied Arts and Philosophy and was teacher of Spanish Literature.

After the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), he was dismissed from his post after being accused by a priest and could not work any more. He carried out several publications along his life: "Entre mar y cielo" (1944), "Horas grises" (1945), "Jardín en sombras" (1946), "Escenarios y cantares de la tierra canaria" (1947), "Hacia la luz" and "Preludios" (both in 1965). He used to use several pseudonyms in his first publications: Santiago Bordón, Juan de la Milla or SILDT.

He died in 1965 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Canary islands, Spain).
