Julia Herráez Sánchez was a Spanish archivist.
She studied Secondary Education at the San Isidoro High School in Seville and she got a PhD in Philosophy and Literature, History specialization, from the Central University of Madrid. She entered the Corps of Archivists, Librarians, and Archaeologists in 1930. She worked in the Archivo General de Indias (General Archive of the Indies), Seville, since 1930. In 1955 she was appointed Deputy Director when José María de la Peña y Cámara was the Director of the Archivo de Indias. Later, she was assigned to the Library and Archive of the University of Seville. Along with Julia Ysasi‑Ysasmendi, she was the author of the University Historical Archive Guide published by the University of Seville in 1971.
