History:

Spanish economist and politician. Bono did secondary studies at the Salesianos' School of Valencia, and graduated in Economics from the University of Barcelona. He obtained the Chair in Economical Politics from the University of Valencia. Moreover, he worked as Vice-rector at the University of Valencia (1984-1986). Bono also headed the Executive Board of the Saving Banks of Sagunto.

Bono was a member of the Spanish Communist Party from 1966, and was elected deputy at the Courts for the district of Valencia during the Constituent Legislature (1977-1978) and the I Legislature (1979-1982). He was one of the driving forces to form the Democratic Autonomous Government of Valencia from 1974, and worked as a councillor at the Council of Valencia between 1983 and 1987. Bono was also a Minister of Transports and Social Welfare at the Pre-autonomous Government headed by Josep Lluís Albiñana, from April to June 1978. On September 1989, he was elected Minister of Public Administration by the president Joan Lerma because Bono left PCE and joined the Socialist Party of the Valencian Country. He repeated this position on November 1991, and on July 1993, he headed the Ministry of Environment. After PP's victory, on July 1995, he resigned from his posts.

Bono wrote "La banca al País Valencià" (Valencian Country's Bank) on 1973, among other Works.
