History:

Spanish communists activist. She joined the PCE (Spanish Communists Party) in 1931. Sister of the lawyer Vicente Sánchez Esteban, also a member of the PCE. During the Spanish Civil War, she was secretary of the organization of the Comité de Mujeres Antifascistas (Committee of Antifascist Women) in Valencia, an association she had founded along with Pilar Soler and Manuela Ballester in 1933. She married to the deputy José Antono Uribes Moreno. Once the war was over, they exiled to the USSR with their daughter Esther Uribes Sánchez, who was born in 1935, in Valencia. Years later, the whole family settled in Bucharest (Romania), where she passed away in 1973.
