Spanish political activist, defender of the women's rights. Daughter of the journalists Félix Azzati and Angeles Soler Miquel. In 1933, she founded the Comité de Valencia de la Asociación de Mujeres Antifascistas, a committee in Valencia for the association of antifascists women, along with Manuela Ballester and Agustina Sánchez. After the war, and until 1944, she was imprisoned in Valencia, where she gave birth. Finally, she exiled herself and lived in France between 1946-1971, when she came back to Spain. She joined the clandestine movement against the Franco ruling. In 1975, she founded the Movimiento Democrático de Mujeres (MDM), a democratic movement for women. In 1977, when the Spanish transition to democracy began, she was elected as a member of the Central Committee of the PCE, the Spanish Comunists Party. Later on she became member of the PSPV-PSOE in an attempt of involve herself with their values. She passed away in Valencia, when she was 92 years old.
