Francisco Galindo was a Spanish graduate, lawyer, and archivist. He settled in Carrión in 1509. Executor Magistrate (1510). Judge in Cáceres (1513). Judge of the "Adelantamiento" of León (1515). Commission Judge (1516). Judge in Cordoba (1516-1518).
He was son-in-law of the bachelor Diego de Salmerón. After the death of his father-in-law in 1519, Galindo was named his substitute as holder of the archives of the royal writings. He held this position until 1526, when Galindo was appointed lawyer of the Treasury Accounts Department.
In 1526 he was replaced as holder of the archive of royal writings by the lawyer Cristóbal Vázquez de Acuña, jurist member of the Royal Council. He held this position until his death in 1537. When Acuña died, no one held the position of the archive holder.
