History:

Spanish archivist and librarian.

Born in 1878 in Lebrija (Sevilla). He studied in the Escuela Superior de Diplomática de Madrid, obtaining the Archivist title in April 1900. He entered through an exam in the Cuerpo Facultativo de Archiveros, Bibliotecarios y Arqueólogos in 1904. He was destined in the Archivo de Hacienda of Cádiz (1904-1905), Biblioteca Universitaria of Sevilla (1905-1909), Archivo General de Indias (1909-1926) and Archivo de Hacienda of Albacete (1926-1948).

At the beginning of the Civil War, he was still destined in the Archivo de la Delegación de Hacienda of Albacete. Finished the war, and after being purified with no sanction, he asked to re-enter the Cuerpo Facultativo. He retired at the age of 70 in 1948.

Together with Pedro Torres Lanzas, he published the work; Catálogo de documentos relativos de las Islas Filipinas.
