Spanish librarian, historian and Augustinian monk.
Born in Santa Eulalia de Manzaneda (Asturias) in 1866. He entered the Agustinos Filipinos de Valladolid, where he professed in 1882, and did the ecclesiastic studies in Valladolid's school, and in the monasteries of Santa María de la Vid (Burgos) and San Lorenzo del Escorial, where he was ordained priest in 1890. He started working in the Biblioteca of el Escorial in 1886, and subsequently he did his studies of library science, and entered the Cuerpo de Archiveros y Bibliotecarios. He was destined to the Librería Laurentina in 1895 as a librarian, position where he remained until 1903.
Later on, he started working as a teacher in the Colegios agustinianos de Guernica (Vizcaya), Palma de Mallorca and finally, in the Monasterio de Uclés (Cuenca), where he passed away on 28 March 1923.
