Mujeres Libres (revista, 1936-1938)
from 1936 to 1938
This group advocated for the most unswerving feminist perspectives, both politically and intellectually. Among its members were the writer Lucía Sánchez Saornil, the lawyer and teacher Mercedes Comaposada Guillén, and the doctor Amparo Poch y Gascón. The first issue of the magazine published in 1936 summed up this collective's main ideas, as well as the action taken by the group within the context of the complicated circumstances triggered by the Civil War.
