Spanish deputy, senator, Minister of Goverment and professor. He was born in Mahón (Menorca) and passed away in Madrid.
He completed his basic studies in Latin and Humanities at the Escuelas Pías de San Antonio Abad. He was admitted by the Central University of Madrid and the University of Alcalá, where he became a doctor and works temporarily as a professor of Roman Law. After this he travelled to England and got in touch with the new law trends.
His academic career was outstanding because he replaced a professor at the University of Alcalá. In the University of Madrid he took charge of the chair of Comparative Legislation. Moreover, he was Rector of this University.
