History:

He was the son of Antonio Machado Álvarez and Ana Ruiz Hernández. He was born in Seville in 1981. He was a journalist and a second class public servant of the Technical Administrative Corps (Cuerpo Técnico Administrativo) at the Ministry of Labour. When the Civil War ended, he went into exile on board a ship chartered by Chile's government called "el Formosa" at the request of Pablo Neruda. He settled at Santiago de Chile together with his brother José and his family. He was the brother of the poets Manuel and Antonio Machado.
