History:

Kaye, George was born on the 26th of November 1915 (probably in 1918) in New York. He attended Los Angeles Junior College for 2 years. He received military formation in the Reserve Officer Training Corps. Kaye, a native New Yorker, worked as a truck driver for a furniture company in Hollywood, California, and was a member of the Teamsters union. He joined Communist Party and Young Communist League as section organizer. He sailed from the United States on the 24th of March 1937 aboard the "Manhattan" and arrived in Spain on the 10th of April 1937. He served with the Mackenzie-Papineau Battalion of the 15th International Brigade and his last unit was in the Ebro Offensive where he served as Corporal in the Machine Gun Company of the Lincoln-Washington Battalion. He returned to the United States on the 20th of December 1938 aboard the "Ausonia". He also went to the Second World War with the Armed Forces of United States. He died in 1990.
