Spanish architect and politician that studied Engineering in Madrid and Architecture in Bologna. He was professor of History of Architecture and History of Art in the Free Educational Institution.
As politician, he joined the Republican Union and held the following professorships during the II Republic:
-Minister of Communications and Merchant Shipping (13/05/1936-17/05/1937).
-Minister of Communications, Transport and Public Work (17/05/1937-05/04/1938).
-Minister of Communications and Transports (1938-1939).
After the Spanish Civil War, he exiled in the Dominican Republic and later went to Mexico in 1940, where he lived until his death.
