History:

Spanish exiled. Burgos worked as a miner since his childhood, and when he was 12-years-old, he joined the Miner Workers Syndicate of Asturias, and in 1915, he joined the Socialist Group of Suares-Bimenes. Burgos held several positions in SOMA and UGT, and from 1931, he was the Mayor of Siero. He was arrested in 1934 because of his involvement in the arm disembarkation of Turquesa, and imprisoned in "El Coto" prison (Gijón), until he obtained the amnesty on February 1936. The same year, he was elected deputy for Oviedo. When the Spanish Civil War broke out, he joined the miner battalion "Manuel Llaneza", and when the war was over, he became Captain of Aircraft Defenses in Barcelona. In 1939, Burgos went into exile to Mexico along with his two daughters, Berlamina and Soledad Burgos Montes. He was a beneficiary from the Committee of Help to Spanish Republicans or JARE and the Evacuation Service of Spanish Refugees (SERE).
