History:

Girol and Concepción Siches Gils. He married Juana María Casielles Pañeda and for the second time to Martha Díaz de León, with whom he had two children. He died in exile in Mexico City.

Luis Recaséns Siches studied the baccalaureate at the General and Technical Institute of Barcelona and he graduated in Philosophy and Letters from the University of Barcelona in 1924. He also graduated in Law in 1924. He received his PhD in Law in 1927. In 1925 he moved to Rome and later to Berlin and Vienna, in order to expand his studies.

He was professor of Elements of Natural Law (Philosophy of Law) at the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1927. In February 1930, he went to the University of Salamanca occupying the same Chair and ceasing in May of that same year. He also was rofessor of Natural Law (Philosophy of Law) at the University of Valladolid in 1930, ceasing in 1931. In 1932 he went to the Central University of Madrid in order to occupy the chair of Philosophy of Law. He was professor of Philosophy of Law (degree) at the Central University of Madrid in 1936. A debugging file was completed in 1938 and finally, in 1939, he was definitively separated from the service. During the Spanish Civil War he moved to France and later to Mexico.

Member of Honor of the Society of Philosophy of Law of Berlin in 1928. Director‑General of Local Administration in the Ministry of the Interior of the Spanish Republic in 1931. Vice‑president of the Court of Appeal of the Juvenile Courts in 1931. Parliamentary deputy for the Lugo in the parliamentary terms of 1931‑1933 and 1933‑1935. Academic‑professor at the Legislation and Jurisprudence National Academy of Madrid. He was appointed undersecretary of Industry and Commerce in 1936.
