Jean Cocteau was a French poet, novelist, dramatist, painter scriptwriter and film director. Cocteau stood out since he was a child for his passion for arts. At the age of 10, he began to write and published a poems book when he was 16 years old. He had an intense love life, having relationships with both men and women. He filmed twelve movies in his career that set apart for being part of the surrealist genre and having a lot of symbolism. Thanks to this, he is considered one of the most important film directors of the Avant-garde. Among his most outstanding movies are: "Beauty and the Beast" (1946), "Les Enfants Terribles" (1950), "Orpheus" (1950) and "Thomas the Impostor" (1965).
