She was a Spanish librarian and researcher. She was the daughter of Mariano Martínez Jarabo, Professor in Huesca, and Elvira Bara. She studied Arts at the University of Saragossa. After that, she had moved to the "Instituto-Escuela" in Madrid before joining the Corps of Archivists, Librarians and Archeologists in 1930. She was assigned to the Spanish National Library and, after the Spanish Civil War she started to work as the director of the Public Library and the Numancia Museum in Soria. Finally, in 1949, she went back home and she held the position of director of the Public Library, the Provincial Historical Archive and the ¿Archivo de la Delegación de Hacienda¿
Archive of the Treasury Department. From that moment, her career path would be strongly related to her home town. She founded the Libraries Coordination Center that worked locally, she published her work on the Provincial Historical Archive of Huesca and she deeply studied her province through the "Instituto de Estudios Oscenses" (IEO)
The aim of this institution was to study the city of Huesca.
