He was a Spanish professor who was born in Seville and passed away in Valencia. Son of José Mª Gestoso and Emilia Acosta, he was the father of the professor Luis Gestoso Tudela (1886-1957).
He began his academic education at the High School of Seville. He was graduated in Civil and Canon Law; and doctor from the University of Seville. In addition, he was a Military Industrial Engineer in the Ministry of War and pupil at the Artillery Academy.
His academic career was outstanding because he was an assistant professor of the Faculty of Law of Salamanca. He was professor of Public and Private International Law of the University of Oviedo. He moved due to a change to the University of Valencia. Moreover, also in this University, he was Dean of the Faculty of Law.
Other activities he carried out were:
Second and first Lieutenant.
Auxiliary at the Juridical-Military Corps with the assignment of advisor of the Military government in Melilla.
Librarian of the Faculty of Law in Valencia.
President of the section of Social Sciences of the Scientific-Literary Academy of the Juventud Católica of Valencia.
