Paramount Pictures Corporation is an American film production and distribution company with more than 100 years of age and founded by Adolph Zukor.
He was founded in 1908, but it was not established until 1912. It is one of the most important studios in the USA along with Universal Picture, 20th Century-Fox, Warner Bros or Walt Disney Company. It also is one of the precursors when it was created. It became quite popular by making historical blockbusters of Cecil B. De Mille like "The Sign of the Cross" (1932) and "Cleopatra" (1934); and comedies of Ernst Lubitsch like "Trouble in Paradise" (1932) and "The Merry Widow" (1934). From that point, it started to gain a great reputation and became one of the cinematographic references. Over time, and as well as other companies, he purchased other small and less important production companies, such is the case of RKO Radio Pictures in 1953. Paramount Pictures is a pioneer in dubbing (that has a great importance in Spain and South America).
Its current president is Brad Grey.
